"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 (NRSV)

Mission Statement |

Our Objective |
| The purpose of Compassionate Consultation Initiative Project is to share the love of Jesus Christ in ways that make a Christian difference through participating in a mission opportunity. |
|
The mission of Compassionate Consultation Initiative Project - Zimbabwe is to equip, serve and care for people at risk in a way that reduces poverty and dependence. |
|
Presently, our main objective is to assist in constructing a skills-training center, which will provide a next step for young people orphaned by AIDS.
|
The pictures below were taken during our July 2007 Volunteer In Mission trip to the site of the Skills Training Center that is located near Mutare, Zimbabwe.
For recent pictures of the site under construction, please click on the Progress on the Skills Training Center button to the left.
|
Our basic goal in building the Skills Training Center is to develop with God's help the competencies and character traits most practical to the African context. There is need for a block of classrooms where people will develop basic survival skills using available resources to pick up the pieces of their lives shuttered by social, economic, political, and psychological depression.
When completed, the Center will offer opportunities for dress making, tailoring, carpentry, fruit and vegetable canning, toll making and repairs, bookkeeping, animal husbandry and farming, metal work, and crafts.
|
When these kids get old enough, they can come to the Skills Training Center and learn skills that they can use to earn a living.
